The Samhain Seer’s Blend

This handcrafted infusion is a seasonal "bridge" tea, designed for the festival of Samhain (30th of April- 1st of May)—the time when the harvest ends and the "dark half" of the year begins. Visually, it is a masterpiece: the deep indigo of the butterfly pea flower acts as a night sky for the pale moon-like apple slices and the dark, wooden stars of the anise.

  • Mugwort: Traditionally used at this time of year to open "the sight" and encourage prophetic dreams as we enter the darker half of the year.

  • Butterfly Pea Flower: Represents the transition and the "blue" twilight hours when the veil is thinnest.

  • Apple: A sacred fruit of Samhain, symbolizing the harvest, the soul, and the promise of rebirth.

  • Star Anise: Adds a protective element and a spicy warmth, while its eight-pointed shape mirrors the Wheel of the Year.

Health & Wellness Benefits:

This blend balances cooling, floral notes with warming, digestive spices, making it ideal for the shifting autumn weather.

  • Digestive Harmony: Star Anise and Apple provide fiber and carminative properties that help soothe the stomach after a heavy harvest meal.

  • Antioxidant Powerhouse: The Butterfly Pea Flower provides a massive boost of anthocyanins, supporting cellular health and skin vitality during the dryer months.

  • Calming the "Monkey Mind": The combination of Mugwort and the earthy base of the blue flowers helps lower cortisol, preparing the body for deep, restorative rest.

  • Immune Support: Star Anise contains shikimic acid (a primary ingredient in many wellness tonics), which helps fortify the body’s natural defenses.

Spiritual & Symbolic Significance:

Every ingredient in this blend serves a specific purpose for the "Thinning of the Veil."

  • The Visionary (Mugwort): Opens the subconscious and encourages "The Sight." It is the traditional herb for connecting with those who have passed and receiving ancestral guidance.

  • The Transformation (Butterfly Pea): Represents the shift from the world of the living to the world of spirit. Its color change (if lemon is added) symbolizes the alchemy of the soul.

  • The Sacred Harvest (Apple): Long considered the "Food of the Dead" in Celtic mythology, apples represent the heart, the harvest's end, and the hidden knowledge contained within the core.

  • The Protector (Star Anise): Its eight points represent the Wheel of the Year. It is added to ward off "lower" energies and provide psychic protection during deep meditation or ritual work.

Preparation Method

To get the most out of the visual "magic" and the herbal potency, follow this ritual-focused brewing method:

  • The Base: Place 1 tsp of Third eye Elixir into a glass teapot.

  • The Infusion: Pour 300ml of hot water (90°C–95°C) over the herbs.

  •  Let it sit for 7 to 10 minutes. Watch as the water turns from a pale teal to a deep, midnight indigo.

  • The Ritual Shift: If using this for a Samhain ceremony, serve the tea blue to represent the night. Provide a small dish of lemon wedges; as each person adds a drop, the tea will turn royal purple, symbolizing the spark of life within the dark.
